Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10featuring Disc Golf on the Wii

Video Game producers EA Sports have developed the soon to be released Nintendo Wii version of "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10" to include.... YEP!.... Disc Golf!
The proposed release date of the game will be June 15th 2009, and utilizes the new "Motion Plus" technology developed as an add on to the Wii controllers. This new feature allows players to angle their discs to your preferred hyzer and anhyzer angles, giving greater control over your disc flight. Check out the video below for a preview.

The Kids "Go For Your Life!" Expo

Between Wed 26th to Thurs 27th November, the Geelong Disc Golf Club will be introducing Disc Golf to approximately 400 primary school kids in conjunction with the Victorian governments "Go For Your Life" initiative. This will take place over 2 days with children from a variety of primary schools situated around the Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast. I'm sure most of you would recognize the TV jingle if you heard it. Visit the website at www.goforyourlife.vic.gov.au

The kids will participate in a variety of Disc Golf putting and throwing games within a condensed environment. The club has recently acquired a bunch of brand new Innova DX Sharks weighing in at a measly 130-135 grams!



The Result...
The Go For Your Life Expo proved to be a great success! Two very hot days of Disc Golf for 6 lucky schools. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves and were excited about the drills and challenges we set for the groups. Most were amazed at the distances that can be achieved when driving off the tee. Needless to say, drivers were a popular topic of disc discussion amongst the kids. Lots of natural talent amongst the groups, over both days, which was excellent to see.
